Day 1
Bishkek - Son-Kul Lake (420 km)

The group will be greeted at Manas Airport.
Our journey begins towards Son-Kul Lake, the second largest high-altitude lake in Kyrgyzstan, spanning 420 kilometers. Despite the 7-8 hour travel time, the scenic route offers picturesque gorges and majestic mountain views, ensuring an engaging journey. We'll pause for lunch at Boom Gorge, a scenic spot connecting the Chui Valley and Issyk-Kul Basin.
By evening, we'll reach Son-Kul Lake. Here, we'll experience authentic nomadic living by staying in traditional yurts. Upon arrival, we'll transition from our vehicles to horseback, embarking on a ride to the lake to witness the mesmerizing sunset. Following the ride, dinner will be served in the yurt, adhering to nomadic traditions.

Day 2
Son-Kul Lake - Fairy Tale Canyon
After breakfast, we journey towards Issyk-Kul, one of the most captivating destinations in Kyrgyzstan, renowned for its stunning landscapes. Our first stop will be at Fairy Tale Canyon, a natural wonder characterized by its red clay cliffs sculpted into whimsical shapes by the forces of wind, soil erosion, and water. Here, amidst the natural sculpture gallery under the open sky, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch.
The enchanting landscapes of Fairy Tale Canyon are particularly mesmerizing at sunset. As the day draws to a close, we'll retire for the night at one of the yurt camps along the shores of Issyk-Kul.

Day 3
Fairy Tale Canyon - Karakol (100 km)

After breakfast overlooking the azure waters of Issyk-Kul, we embark on our journey. Throughout history, Issyk-Kul has been a magnet for diverse peoples and cultures, with one of the branches of the Great Silk Road tracing its path along the shores of this majestic lake.

Today, numerous cultural monuments still bear witness to this rich history. Our itinerary for the day includes visits to some of these sites:

  • Tamga village: Preserving Buddhist shrines adorned with Tibetan inscriptions, believed to imbue positive energy. We'll experience this Place of Power firsthand.
  • Jeti Oguz Gorge (Seven Bulls): Renowned as one of the Kyrgyz Republic's most breathtaking natural landmarks, featuring seven weathered rocks resembling monumental red bulls.
  • Visit to a Dungan family: We'll have the opportunity to interact with a Dungan family residing in a village established in 1877. Here, we'll partake in authentic culinary traditions passed down through centuries. During a traditional dinner, we'll learn about the significance of the 8 national dishes and participate in a master class on preparing the iconic Dungan dish, Ashlyan-fu.
  • Local museum visit: We'll explore a unique museum dedicated to the history of the Dungans, tracing their migration from China to the Issyk-Kul region. This immersive experience will provide insights into the distinctive cuisine and traditions of the Dungan people.
By evening, we'll arrive in Karakol, concluding our enriching day of exploration.

Day 4
Karakol - Cholpon-Ata (145 km)

Today, we explore the city of Karakol, the northeastern outpost of Kyrgyzstan. A city where the culture of all the peoples living here is carefully preserved. After breakfast, we set off to explore the hidden corners of the city. It used to be the farthest Asian city of the Russian Empire. We will walk through the streets among ancient merchant houses, visit the gems of wooden architecture: the Holy Trinity Church and the Dungan Mosque. And we will definitely visit a souvenir shop, where you can not only buy gifts but also have coffee and try honey. After lunch, we head north to Cholpon-Ata, the resort capital of the country. We stay at the Ak Bermet guesthouse. Evening bathing in hot springs (pools).

Day 5
Cholpon-Ata - Bishkek (250 km)

Morning swim in Lake Issyk-Kul. Enjoy the enchanting waters of one of the highest mountain lakes in the world. Followed by an excursion to the open-air museum "Ruh Ordo," a unique cultural and spiritual center dedicated to five world religions. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Departure to Bishkek, where our journey concludes at Manas Airport.
